Description

The Project Accounting Technician ensures sound financial and administrative management of construction projects by maintaining accurate, compliant, and real-time accounting information. This role acts as a key support between the accounting department, project managers, and subcontractors, ensuring the rigorous processing of invoices, payment tracking, and coordination of contractual documentation.

  • Receive subcontractor invoices, process them in Viridem, and validate/code accordingly
  • Prepare monthly project billing (e.g., lump sum, cost-plus, and pre-construction)
  • Analyze and record project invoices using purchase orders
  • Review the monthly accounts payable report for each project
  • Analyze account statements (e.g., subcontractors and suppliers)
  • Identify financial issues within the project based on various analyses
  • Manage a high volume of incoming emails in an organized and prioritized manner
  • Provide support to supplier accounts payable

Requirements

  • DEP or DEC in Accounting
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in accounting
  • Bilingual in French and English
